Chair of Recovery Group, Deputy Mayor Mary Brown said ‘I encourage any business owner or manager who has been impacted by recent flood events and is looking to understand what assistance is available to attend this workshop and networking event. As part of the recovery process, Council has been working very closely with a number of government agencies, to bring together assistance that can be offered and it is important that as many operators as possible take advantage of this opportunity .’
Cr Brown reiterated that ‘The support and assistance available applies to all businesses located in the Hinchinbrook Shire, whether they be retailers, service providers, tourism operators, home based, farming or harvesting businesses - all sectors have been affected and this assistance applies across the board."
