Mayor Ramon Jayo attended at a Seniors Week Morning Tea held at Noorla Bowls Club, Ingham and said ‘It is an honour to be here today to celebrate Seniors Week with you all, thank you and welcome to all the visitors that have made it here today. Seniors week is an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the significant contribution that older people have made and continue to make in our community through volunteering, mentorship and family duties such as caring for grandchildren to name a few. As seniors you play an important role in our region, with your wealth of knowledge and experience your contribution is invaluable, and for that I say, thank you.’
