Get Out, Get Active

10th February 2018

Hinchinbrook Shire Council has secured funding through Get Out, Get Active to promote the fitness of women within the Hinchinbrook Shire.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for women of all ages to participate in the following programs:

Kick Fit and Self Defence

This program is designed for beginners to increase their fitness whilst learning important self defence skills in a fun and exciting way. The program will run for 8 weeks with a maximum of 15 participants.

Mums and Bubs Yoga

This program is an excellent way for mothers to get back in touch with their body, whilst promoting health and wellbeing to their children. This program will run for 8 weeks and is suitable for children up to the age of 5, with a maximum of 10 participants.

To register your interest, please contact Council on 07 4776 4640 before 5.00pm Friday, 23 February 2018.

The Queensland Government provided $4,800 to Hinchinbrook Shire Council to the Getting Hinchinbrook Women Active Project to enable Queenslanders to participate in sport and recreation activities.
