Free Domestic Waste Disposal

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is pleased to announce two free domestic waste disposal days on Saturday 9 December 2017 and Sunday 17 December 2017 to assist residents in preparing for the cyclone season.

Residents can dispose of their household waste or green waste free of charge at the following Waste Facilities:

• Warrens Hill Waste Management Facility is open daily from 7.30am to 5.30pm (closed for lunch between 12.30pm and 1.00pm)
• Halifax Transfer Station is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm on Saturdays (closed for lunch between 12.00pm and 1.00pm) and 12.30pm to 5.30pm on Sundays

Waste not accepted free of charge includes commercial waste, tyres and asbestos.
