Hinchinbrook Shire Council has undertaken a full review of its Road Management Plan, Policy and Procedure and is therefore seeking feedback regarding the outcome of the review.
To ensure that Council is providing a road network that meets the needs of the community. A holistic approach has been taken to review the network to ensure that roads are serviced based on their usage. The aim of the plan and policy is to ensure community and industry is receiving levels of service where it needs it the most.
Please note the review is only focused on the end of road segments, not the entire road network. End of road segments are described as those segments that are located at the termination of a road.
The proposed Road Management Plan, Policy and Procedure affects both urban and rural areas. In particular there are significant changes proposed to the lower order roads within the unsealed rural network, this includes roads that are currently maintained and unmaintained.
