Lucinda Groyne Field Replacement

The Lucinda Groyne Field has reached the end of their design life and require replacement. The groynes are structured to let limited water and sand pass through and can act as permeable impermeable. The existing groyne field arrangement is effective in providing ongoing stability and resilience from assessment to leading industry practice and historical performance and therefore it is recommended to adopt replication of the existing arrangement.

Community Meeting October 2024

Council hosted a Community Information Session at The Lucinda Hotel on 28 October 2024 to provide residents of the Lucinda community with results of the technical assessment and recommendations by Civil IQ for the groyne field replacement.
