Hinchinbrook Shire Council is responsible for maintaining over 60 parks and 20 playgrounds across an area of 2,807 square kilometres.
Following recent flood events, the availability of qualified contractors has been significantly impacted, and the procurement of specialised playground equipment and parts has also experienced delays due to ongoing supply chain challenges.
Council is actively working to progress repairs and installations as quickly and safely as possible and appreciates the community’s continued patience and understanding.
