Community Consultation - Round Two - Infrastructure and Facilities Enhancement

Council is excited to be undertaking further community consultation for an assessment of Infrastructure and Facilities Enhancement across the Shire in association with the Works
for Queensland program.

Encouraging responses and suggestions were received during the first round of consultation. Council has a long term strategic vision for enhancing the Shire’s credentials as a destination
that can provide for the needs of all current and future residents – “a liveable, diverse, safe and inclusive local government area that unlocks the potential of the community”.

This assessment will propose a future vision to enhance community engagement, tourism and business opportunities throughout the Shire. Considering the enhancement of existing
and future community facilities, this program will celebrate both the unity and diversity of our beautiful Shire.

Community group stakeholders and the general public are encouraged to attend the second round of public consultation, to continue to have a say in the future of the Hinchinbrook
Shire. Discussions and purpose of the program will provide information on a broad spectrum of the Works for Queensland funding and other initiatives being assessed by Council.
