Mayor's Christmas Appeal 

From Wednesday 6 November 2019

Join the Appeal and support those in need this Christmas. Donations in the form of monetary gifts, generic gifts or food items can be dropped into the Council Foyer/Office or the Hinchinbrook Shire Library until Wednesday 11 December 2019.

Hinchinbrook Lights Trail

There is nothing more magical to do at Christmas time than take the family out for a night to look at beautiful light displays. Help create a festive Christmas atmosphere and start planning a Christmas lights display at your home for the Hinchinbrook Lights Trail.

Seniors Morning Tea

Celebrate the festive season with a special Seniors Christmas Celebration. This is a FREE event for all seniors of the Shire, a fun filled morning of Christmas cheer with carols and entertainment. Celebrate the festive season with a special Seniors Christmas Celebration. This is a FREE event for all seniors of the Shire, a fun filled morning of Christmas cheer with carols and entertainment. 

Time:          9.30am until 11.30am

Join us at Rotary Park as we celebrate the Festive Season Join us at Rotary Park as we celebrate the Festive Season with an evening of carols and a very special visit from Santa. Help us count down to the Mayor’s Light up the Tree and enjoy a Christmas story or two! A wonderful evening for the whole community. 

Time: Children’s activities and face painting from 5.30pm and main program from 6.30pm
Where: Rotary Park | BYO rug and chair. Food and beverages available for purchase.
Note: In the event of inclement weather, this event will  move to the Hinchinbrook Shire Hall, Lannercost Street.
