Have your Say – Monday 14th November 2011 to Wednesday 11th January 2012
The public notification period for the draft Priority Infrastructure Plan (PIP) has begun and is now to feedback until the
Wednesday 11th January 2012. All submissions received during the public notification period will be reviewed by Council
before the draft PIP is finalised. Written submissions about any aspect of the proposed planning scheme amendments
may be made to the Hinchinbrook Shire Council by any person
Submissions must:
- Be in writing
- State the name and address of the person/s making the submission
- Be signed by the person/s making the submission
- State the grounds of the submission
- Be received by Council by the closing date 11th January 2012

It is likely that changes will be made to the draft PIP as a result of submissions received. Once these changes have been
made, the draft PIP will be sent to the Queensland Government for a final review. When the Queensland Government has
finished its review, the draft PIP will be adopted by Council and become a part of the Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme.

PIP integration into the Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2005
The PIP when implemented will become Part 8 of the existing Planning Scheme. As such the PIP represents a major
amendment to the planning scheme and is subject to a thirty (30) day public notification period. The implementation of
the PIP requires consequential changes to the Planning Scheme. These changes are available to download and review by
