Is your local community group looking for small community grants to help with an event?
The Hinchinbrook Shire Council are now offering quarterly grants throughout the year to help support local community groups with their events and functions.
To apply for grants throughout the year dates closing dates are as follows:
For events in the 2016 / 2017 financial year held between:
· 1 March – 31 May – applications close 31 January – 2016 / 2017 - OPEN
· 1 June – 31 August – applications close 30 April – 2016 / 2017 - CLOSED
· 1 September – 30 November – applications close 31 July - 2016 / 2017 - CLOSED
· 1 December – 28 February – applications close 31 October – 2016 / 2017 - CLOSED
Note – Requests for 2017 / 2018 annual grants for assistance will close on 30 April 2017.
To be considered eligible for a Council grant, an individual, group or organisation must operate within the Hinchinbrook Shire and be not for profit.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund
The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) Community Benefit Funds Unit (CBFU) distributes revenue from gaming taxes to various not-for-profit community groups throughout Queensland and invites all eligible organisations to submit grant applications to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund during the application periods noted below.
