Hinchinbrook Shire Council is reviewing its Foreshore Management Plans for Lucinda and Forrest Beach.
The community is invited to contribute to the review by responding to the survey which can be found by clicking here.
Hard copy surveys are also available at Council’s main office, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham.
The Foreshore Management Plan Survey will close on Sunday 30 April 2017.

CHEMCLEAR WASTE CHEMICAL DISPOSAL - REGISTER BY 28 APRIL 2017
AgSafe are conducting their ChemClear collection throughout Queensland in 2017. To arrange to dispose of your unwanted chemicals you can register with ChemClear online at www.chemclear.org.au or phone them on 1800 008 182. Registrations close on 28 April 2017.
Eligible chemicals are free. Eligibility requirements for free collection are:
- Readable product labels
- Not mixed with any other product
- Within two years of the expiry date or deregistration.
Collection of other chemicals can be quoted on registration.
SERVICING OF GREASE TRAPS IN HINCHINBROOK
Council wishes to advise that Cleanaway is providing grease trap servicing in your area.

ROADWORKS NOTICE – BOARDS ROAD/WARRENS HILL INTERSECTION & DRAINAGE WORKS
Council wishes to advise that intersection and drainage works are scheduled to be undertaken on the intersection of Boards Road and Warrens Hill Road commencing in the first week of May 2017. Completion of the work is anticipated by 30 June 2017, weather permitting.
Work will be performed from 6.00am - 4.00pm Monday – Friday and possibly 6.00am – 4pm Saturdays.
Please be advised that during this time, the following guidelines will be in place:
- This section of road will be closed to all traffic for approximately one week.
- After this time speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through the work zones.
- Traffic control will be on site as required as well as road closed traffic signs.
Your safety and the safety of Council’s roadworks team are most important. Please drive carefully in the designated roadwork areas and follow the instructions of the work crew.
