Hinchinbrook Shire Council is reviewing its Foreshore Management Plans for Lucinda and Forrest Beach.
The community is invited to contribute to the review by responding to the survey which can be found by clicking here.
Hard copy surveys are also available at Council’s main office, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham.
A Community Session will be held on Saturday 22 April 2017, details of the session will be advertised once they become available.
The Foreshore Management Plan Survey will close on Sunday 30 April 2017.

CHEMCLEAR WASTE CHEMICAL DISPOSAL - REGISTER BY 28 APRIL 2017
AgSafe are conducting their ChemClear collection throughout Queensland in 2017. To arrange to dispose of your unwanted chemicals you can register with ChemClear online at www.chemclear.org.au or phone them on 1800 008 182. Registrations close on 28 April 2017.
Eligible chemicals are free. Eligibility requirements for free collection are:
- Readable product labels
- Not mixed with any other product
- Within two years of the expiry date or deregistration.
Collection of other chemicals can be quoted on registration.

HALF YEARLY RATES NOTICE ISSUED THURSDAY 23 FEBRUARY 2017
These notices will be due for payment on or before 31 March 2017. Ratepayers who may wish to discuss a payment plan should contact Council’s Rates Department on the number below. Interest is charged on overdue rates at 11% per annum (equivalent of .03% per day).
Pensioners who no longer hold their Pensioner Concession Card due to the recent Government policy change will not be entitled to receive the Queensland Pensioner Rate Subsidy and Hinchinbrook Shire Council Pensioner Rate Concession and as a result will no longer receive a reduction in rates and charges.
If you pay your rates by BPay please ensure you use the new BPay Reference Number, as your number has recently changed.
Notices were printed on 17 February 2017. Any payments made after 16 February will not be shown on the rate notice.
