Hinchinbrook Shire Council is reviewing its Foreshore Management Plans for Lucinda and Forrest Beach.

The community is invited to contribute to the review by responding to the survey which can be found by clicking here.

Hard copy surveys are also available at Council’s main office, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham. 

A Community Session will be held on Saturday 22 April 2017, details of the session will be advertised once they become available. 

The Foreshore Management Plan Survey will close on Sunday 30 April 2017.

AgSafe are conducting their ChemClear collection throughout Queensland in 2017. To arrange to dispose of your unwanted chemicals you can register with ChemClear online at or phone them on 1800 008 182.  Registrations close on 28 April 2017. 

Eligible chemicals are free.  Eligibility requirements for free collection are:

- Readable product labels

- Not mixed with any other product

- Within two years of the expiry date or deregistration.

Collection of other chemicals can be quoted on registration.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community to fill a number of positions on the Ageing in Place Advisory Committee.

This is a new committee being formed by Council with the objective of providing advice to Council in relation to effective policy and service provision for older people in the community and strategic issues regarding positive ageing.

Council is seeking applicants who have broad based interest or experience in the areas of aged services provision, policy or general understanding in relation to the current and future challenges that will impact the Hinchinbrook population as it ages and are willing to make a positive contribution to this Advisory Committee.
